Diane J Ford, VMD, Owner/Veterinarian
Dr Diane hails from New Jersey, but has lived in Central PA since 1992. She graduated from Lebanon Valley College (1996) and Penn State College of Medicine (2004) before graduating from The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She worked in private practice for 1 year before going out on her own. She began Dr Diane’s Mobile Veterinary Service in July 2011. The practice grew over the next 4 years, allowing Dr Diane to open The Vetting Zoo in April 2015. Dr Diane lives in Campbelltown with her dogs and cats. In her spare time, Dr Diane enjoys working with rescue animals, playing soccer, going to the gym, spending time with family and friends, and snuggling with her furkids.
Jehna Bush, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Jehna grew up in the Lehigh Valley area of PA. She received a B.S. in Animal Bioscience/Pre-Vet from Penn State in 2005. She received her DVM from St. George’s University after completing her final clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania. She enjoys reading, cooking, artwork, the outdoors, gardening, and remodeling/interior design. She has trained horses for over 23 years and enjoys working with all large animals in addition to small. She currently resides in Hummelstown with her older rescue Shepherd/hound mix, Theo. She also owns a Quarter Horse gelding, Damien, who she loves to trail ride.
Brittany Gamble, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Brittany Gamble is from Orange, CT. She received a bachelors degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from Penn State University in 2012. She earned a DVM degree from St. George’s University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 after attending Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine for her clinical year. She has a special love for goats and has always loved eastern PA. In her spare time, Dr. Brittany enjoys baking, visiting family, hiking, and traveling. She shares her home with one exotic shorthair cat from Grenada, Missy. Dr. Brittany is very excited to join The Vetting Zoo with Dr’s. Diane and Jehna!
Nikkie Often, Senior Veterinary Technician/Practice Manager
Nikkie grew up and is currently from York, PA. She graduated from Northern York County High School and Cumberland-Perry Vo-Tech in June 2009. She then packed her bags and moved to Pittsburgh in July 2009 to continue her education at Vet Tech Institute. She then transferred to an online school through Penn Foster. Nikkie married her husband, Steve, in May 2014 on their 5th anniversary of dating. They have 2 rescue dogs, Fudge and Sherman (as shown in picture.) She began working with the practice when it was Dr. Diane’s Mobile Veterinary Service, in August 2011. Her beautiful baby girl, Peyton came into the world in June 2017. Nikkie’s hobbies include spending time with her husband and daughter, upgrading their house, taking the dogs for walks or swims, kayaking, and 4-wheeling with friends.
Charissa Putt, Veterinary Technician
Charissa grew up in Enola, PA. She graduated from Cumberland Valley High School. Charissa joined The Vetting Zoo in November 2012, as a receptionist. A year later, she became a vet tech. Charissa has 2 dogs: Zara and Luna. She also has 3 cats (Finnegan, Tilly, and Mrs. Norris), along with 2 ducks. In her free time, she loves to spend time riding her horse, Kody. Charissa’s other hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Katlyn Smith, Veterinary Technician
Katlyn attended the Large Animal Science Class at the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center, then returned for their Veterinary Assistant class. She joined The Vetting Zoo as an assistant, and is now a vet tech. Katlyn enjoys kayaking, fishing, and hunting in her spare time. She has 3 parakeets, 3 dogs, and a few goldfish. Growing up, Katlyn always wanted to work with animals and gets to come to her dream job every day.
Breanna grew up in a small town called Dublin, Indiana. In June of 2016, she moved to Hummelstown, PA with her aunt and uncle. Breanna is currently in training to be a Veterinarian Technician. She helps part time at her uncles auction company, at weekend vaccine clinics and also helps with the animals around the house. In her free time she likes to draw, listen to music, play video games and relax outside. Currently she lives with 2 horses, 2 mules and 2 dogs. She is very excited to be on The Vetting Zoo team.
Krista King, Front Desk Manager/Veterinary Assistant
Krista and her husband, Derek, recently moved back to Pennsylvania, the state they call home. Krista went to Animal Behavior College and graduated as a Veterinary Assistant. She’s been in this career field since July of 2014, and wouldn’t want any other job. She is passionate about her career, and loves animals of all sizes. She has three wonderful dogs (pictured from left to right) Logan and Rogue, who are litter mates, and Brody. She has a unique cat that rules the house. When he was a small kitten he had to have his eyes surgically removed due to a severe infection, but you’d never know he couldn’t see! In her spare time, Krista enjoys family time, reading, adventuring the outdoors with Brody, and taking naps. (She definitely loves naps!)

Bec(ky) grew up in Lancaster County. She always knew she had a love for all animals, whether her parents liked it or not. She would find and help abandoned animals anyway that she could. Later in life, she joined a local Shar Pei rescue in Lancaster, where she met Dr. Diane and a few others that still remain great friends and continue to get together once a month. Bec started at the Zoo in December of 2017, stating “It is the best choice I have ever made!” She currently lives in Columbia with her husband, James and their 2 and 1/2 German Shepherds… the other 1/2 is a Shar Pei, of course!! Rigby, Helga and Remi are all best friends. Her hobbies include running, boxing, gym time and going to as many concerts as she possibly can!
Vickie Bucher, Veterinary Assistant
Vickie works part-time at TVZ, after spending 35 years with the PA State Police. She enjoys gardening, Penn State football, trapping feral cats and volunteering at Steelton Community Cats. Vickie shares her Harrisburg home with her husband, Clark. They have a German Shepherd, Axel and 4 felines (Eddie, Belle, Angel and Rocky). She also fosters kittens when needed.
