Diane J Ford, VMD

Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Diane hails from New Jersey but has lived in Central PA since 1992. She graduated from Lebanon Valley College (1996) and Penn State College of Medicine (2004) before graduating from The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She worked in private practice for 1 year before going out on her own. She began Dr. Diane’s Mobile Veterinary Service in July 2011. The practice grew over the next 4 years, allowing Dr. Diane to open The Vetting Zoo in April 2015. Dr. Diane lives in Campbelltown with her dogs and cats. In her spare time, Dr. Diane enjoys working with rescue animals, playing soccer, going to the gym, spending time with family and friends, and snuggling with her furkids.


Jehna Bush, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Jehna grew up in the Lehigh Valley area of PA. She received a B.S. in Animal Bioscience/Pre-Vet from Penn State in 2005. She received her DVM from St. George’s University after completing her final clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania. She enjoys reading, cooking, artwork, outdoors, gardening, and remodeling/interior design. She has trained horses for over 23 years and enjoys working with all large animals in addition to small. She currently resides in Hummelstown with her older rescue Shepherd/hound mix, Theo. She also owns a Quarter Horse gelding, Damien, who she loves to trail ride.


Nikkie Often

Senior Veterinary Technician/Practice Manager

Nikkie grew up and is currently from York, PA. She graduated from Northern York County High School and Cumberland-Perry Vo-Tech in June 2009. She then packed her bags and moved to Pittsburgh in July 2009 to continue her education at Vet Tech Institute. She then transferred to an online school through Penn Foster. Nikkie married her husband, Steve, in May 2014 on their 5th anniversary of dating. They have 2 rescue dogs, Fudge and Sherman (as shown in picture.) She began working with the practice when it was Dr. Diane’s Mobile Veterinary Service, in August 2011. Her beautiful baby girl, Peyton came into the world in June 2017. Nikkie’s hobbies include spending time with her husband and daughter, upgrading their house, taking the dogs for walks or swims, kayaking, and 4-wheeling with friends.


Charissa Smith

Veterinary Technician

Charissa grew up in Enola, PA. She graduated from Cumberland Valley High School. Charissa joined the Vetting Zoo in November 2012. In May of 2017, she moved to Dillsburg, with her then-boyfriend, Bret. In October 2020 they got married. They share their home with three rescue dogs (Rip a German Shepherd, Martin a Shih Tzu mix, Potato a French Bulldog), three cats (Carl, Kevin and Scooter). Charissa is always rescuing animals and bringing them home. Fun fact she found Kevin on a mobile call and Martin on the way to a vaccine clinic. In her free time, she likes to foster animals, go hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding, and spending time with family and friends.


Breanna Nichols

Veterinary Technician

Breanna grew up in a small town called Dublin, Indiana. In June of 2016, she moved to Hummelstown, PA with her aunt and uncle. Breanna is currently in training to be a Veterinarian Technician. She helps part-time at her uncle’s auction company, at weekend vaccine clinics and also helps with the animals around the house. In her free time, she likes to draw, listen to music, play video games and relax outside. Currently, she lives with 2 horses, 2 mules, and 2 dogs. She is very excited to be on The Vetting Zoo team.


Vickie Bucher

Veterinary Assistant

Vickie works part-time at TVZ, after spending 35 years with the PA State Police. She enjoys gardening, Penn State football, trapping feral cats, and volunteering at Steelton Community Cats. Vickie shares her Harrisburg home with her husband, Clark. They have a German Shepherd, Axel, and 4 felines (Eddie, Belle, Angel, and Rocky). She also fosters kittens when needed.


Kerrie Weaser

Veterinary Technician

Kerrie grew up in Middletown, PA. After graduating high school she wasn’t sure of a career path so she took a year off of school. After growing up with animals her whole life, then working at a small kennel for a while and PetSmart for a few years, she realized that she wanted to pursue a career in the veterinary industry which is what led her to getting her Veterinary Assistant Certification in 2020. She currently has a German Shepherd mix named Jax and a guinea pig named Limpy at home. In her spare time she enjoys going on day trips to beaches or zoos, doing DIY projects and spending quality time with her family, friends and boyfriend.


Brian Passuello

Veterinary Technician

Brian, a Hummelstown native, followed his love of the mountains to attend college in Colorado where he earned a B.S. in Computer Science. After working in IT for a few years he returned home to pursue a greater passion of working with animals. He is currently working towards an M.S. in Veterinary Medicine while absorbing as much as possible and loving working with the great crew at TVZ!

When he isn’t working or studying he is most likely tearing apart some sort of electronics, and depending on the time of year may either be on the mountain skiing or the golf course. Whatever he may be doing it is never too far from his cat Dorito, who shows his unending love with chirps at 3 AM until someone wakes up to watch the early morning birds with him.


Chelsie Neiman

Receptionist
Chelsie was born and raised on a small family farm in Halifax, PA. While in school, Chelsie joined the Upper Dauphin Livestock Club where she began to raise and show cows. She also began involvement in the Navy Sea Cadets Program. It is through these two activities that Chelsie developed a deep love and compassion for animals, as well as outstanding discipline and work ethic. After graduating high school, Chelsie moved to Camp Hill, PA, with her dog Benji (pictured) and began working for The Vetting Zoo shortly after. Chelsie absolutely loves her job and hopes to become a veterinary technician one day. In her free time, Chelsie enjoys spending time with her family, drawing, and shopping.


Brittney Halbleib

Receptionist
Brittney graduated from Dauphin County technical school in 2016 from the veterinarian assistant program. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to do after school but then she started working at petsmart and knew she wanted to work in a vet hospital. She currently has a lab/coonhound mix named Scooby and a cat named Tiger. In her free time, she likes spending time with her family and friends and likes to go bowling.


Donna Bingaman

Receptionist
Donna and her husband Dave reside in North Annville, PA with their fur babies – Abby, a Chocolate Labrador, Bella, a senior rescued Labrador/Beagle mix and their cats, Perry and Harley. They are parents of three grown children and have six grandchildren. Before coming to TVZ, Donna was employed for ten years at a private Pharmacy in Lebanon, PA and then three years at a previous Veterinary Hospital. She has a strong compassion and love for all animals. Donna enjoys spending time with family and friends and her hobbies include going antiquing and projects around the house with her husband, crafts with friends, crocheting, cross stitching, reading, and walking her dogs along the countryside on warm days. She enjoys working with the TVZ family who all have a huge love and heart for the animals they treat daily.

Rick Harhigh

IT guy

Rick grew up in Mechanicsburg, PA. He graduated from Cedar Cliff High School. Rick has been in the IT field for well over 30 years. He’s worked in Nevada at casino’s securing networks as a Network Engineer along with IT work and also in New York as a Systems Engineer and Network Engineer handling multiple locations with over 300+ remote sites.

Rick has been with the Vetting Zoo since 2017 and also is a private contractor for the U.S Government along with running his own IT business and does automotive work at his other job. He has 3 energetic dogs, 2 of which are rescues. (Benelli a Rottweiler, Wesker a German Shepherd mix and Kassie, a Rottweiler).

Rick has a daughter, Mattie who was born in November 2006. In his free time, Rick enjoys hiking, off-roading, 4 wheeling, taking photographs with his digital camera and anything that involves electronics.
