Diane J Ford, VMD, Owner/Veterinarian
Dr Diane hails from New Jersey, but has lived in Central PA since 1992. She graduated from Lebanon Valley College (1996) and Penn State College of Medicine (2004) before graduating from The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She worked in private practice for 1 year before going out on her own. She began Dr Diane’s Mobile Veterinary Service in July 2011. The practice grew over the next 4 years, allowing Dr Diane to open The Vetting Zoo in April 2015. Dr Diane lives in Campbelltown with her dogs and cats. In her spare time, Dr Diane enjoys working with rescue animals, playing soccer, going to the gym, spending time with family and friends, and snuggling with her furkids.
Dr. Jehna, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Jehna grew up in the Lehigh Valley area of PA. She received a B.S. in Animal Bioscience/Pre-Vet from Penn State in 2005. She received her DVM from St. George’s University after completing her final clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania. She enjoys reading, cooking, artwork, the outdoors, gardening, and remodeling/interior design. She has trained horses for over 23 years and enjoys working with all large animals in addition to small. She currently resides in Hummelstown with her older rescue Shepherd/hound mix, Theo. She also owns a Quarter Horse gelding, Damien, who she loves to trail ride.
Nikkie Often, Senior Veterinary Technician/Practice Manager
Nikkie grew up and is currently from York, PA. She graduated from Northern York County High School and Cumberland-Perry Vo-Tech in June 2009. She then packed her bags and moved to Pittsburgh in July 2009 to continue her education at Vet Tech Institute. She then transferred to an online school through Penn Foster. Nikkie married her husband, Steve, in May 2014 on their 5th anniversary of dating. They have 2 rescue dogs, Fudge and Sherman. She began working with the practice when it was Dr. Diane’s Mobile Veterinary Service, in August 2011. Nikkie’s hobbies include spending time with her husband and family, taking their dogs for walks or swims, kayaking, and 4-wheeling with friends.
Charissa Putt, Veterinary Technician
Charissa grew up in Enola, PA. She graduated from Cumberland Valley High School. Charissa joined The Vetting Zoo in November 2012, as a receptionist. A year later, she became a vet tech. Charissa has 2 dogs: Zara and Luna. She also has 3 cats (Finnegan, Tilly, and Mrs. Norris), along with 2 ducks. In her free time, she loves to spend time riding her horse, Kody. Charissa’s other hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Katlyn Smith, Veterinary Technician
Katlyn attended the Large Animal Science Class at the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center, then returned for their Veterinary Assistant class. She joined The Vetting Zoo as an assistant, and is now a vet tech. Katlyn enjoys kayaking, fishing, and hunting in her spare time. She has 3 parakeets, 3 dogs, and a few goldfish. Growing up, Katlyn always wanted to work with animals and gets to come to her dream job every day.
Sue Brubaker, Receptionist
Sue grew up in Hershey and moved to Palmyra when she married Eric in 1985. They have 2 sons, Corey and Adam. Corey and his wife have one daughter, Adelynn. She is Sue and Eric’s only grandchild. They love spending time with their family. Eric and Sue live with their 2 dogs and many cats. Sue provides food, water, and shelter for 2 TNR cat colonies. She also continues to care for some of her clients cats from the pet care service she had for 10 years. I her spare time, Sue enjoys going to their cabin to ride 4-wheelers, take walks, and relax by the fire. She also enjoys reading and going to concerts. Sue started working at The Vetting Zoo in April 2015.
Lindsey Sholly, Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant
Lindsey was born and raised in Palmyra, PA. She graduated from Palmyra Area High School and Lebanon County Career and Technology Center in 2012. She has worked for Dr Diane, on and off, for the past 5 years. Lindsey is married to her high school sweetheart and they have 2 little boys. They also have 2 furkids: a dog named Cowboy and a cat named Cuddles. They recently bought a home in Northern Lebanon Township. In her free time, Lindsey enjoys photography, baking, nature, welding, and spending time with her family.
